Gerry is a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, an association of professional accountants who have met the requirements of professional competency and are bound to a uniform standard of conduct. Gerry's background encompasses extensive experience in public accounting including two years with Johnson and Booth, Chartered Accountants, seven years with Deloitte Touche, Chartered Accountants and three years with Sidler and Company, Chartered Accountants.
During his years in public accounting, Gerry observed that most Canadians use tax specialists to prepare their personal and corporate tax returns while using financial planners to assist them with investment planning and management. Gerry concluded that, instead of using two different companies for these interrelated services, his clients' overall financial situation would be better served by having both services offered "under one roof". Accordingly, Gerry expanded into the area of investment planning and management by becoming affiliated with Regal Capital Planners, Canada's largest independent financial dealer (which was subsequently purchased by Dundee Wealth Management). As such, Gerry became registered as an investment advisor/broker with Dundee Securities Inc. To further expand the areas of service, Gerry completed the necessary licensing and education requirements established by the Canadian Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders and is now and Accredited Mortgage Professional.
With this wealth of financial experience, Gerry is now in a unique position to offer qualified unbiased professional advice in the areas of taxation, investment management as well as mortgage financing.
